My name is Cheryl Kabarchuk and this why I chose the Kerry Blue Terrier.
I was gifted my first Kerry "Nugget" in my teens, competing in Jr. showmanship competitions and the confirmation ring, obtaining his Championship and a Provincial Jr. Showmanship title. This positive experience with this beautiful dog has stayed with me throughout my life. Nugget was with me for 14 wonderful years and the reason why I fell in love with the breed 40+ years ago!
In 2013 after raising my children I decided it was time for another Kerry. “Oliver” came into our home and continued on where Nugget left off. Oliver’s show career consists of multi Best in Show awards, Top Kerry Blue Terrier as well as a top Terrier in Canada and a Rally title (so far). He is undeniably the best 4-legged friend I could ever have wished for. His infectious personality and eagerness to please have brought much joy to our family and anyone who has had the pleasure to get to know him.
My journey with Oliver has introduced me to countless friendships with individuals who share the same passion, some have many, many years of experience with this breed. I feel fortunate to have them as friends and I consider them mentors; it takes a community to have a successful breeding program. I find joy in expanding and sharing my knowledge and passion of this beautiful breed.
I am dedicated in producing healthy, sound, well structured and even tempered puppies, exactly what I would expect when considering a new puppy. Placing each puppy in their forever home by carefully evaluating perspective owners, ensuring not only a good fit for a new puppy but a proper fit for the breed.
